What the ten years actually cover, measured against published test standards rather than adjectives.

What is covered, in numbers

The Celenest polycarbonate shell is warranted for 10 years against loss of optical performance in normal outdoor use: light-transmission loss under 6% measured to ASTM D1003, and a yellowing index under 10 measured to ASTM D1925. The shell is solid Bayer polycarbonate on a 6063 aluminium base profile, rated B1 for fire and level 14 for wind, and holds its properties from −40 °C to 120 °C. Expected service life with normal use and maintenance is 15 years or more; the 10-year figure is the warranty term, not the service life.

What is not covered

  • Incorrect foundation, incorrect anchoring or incorrect assembly.
  • Misuse, unauthorised modification, or fixings drilled into the shell.
  • Inadequate maintenance — abrasive cleaning, incompatible solvents, blocked drainage.
  • Site events outside the agreed design basis, including loads beyond the documented wind and snow assumptions.
  • Ordinary wear of service items: seals, gaskets, curtain fabric, LED strips, motors and moving hardware, which carry their own component terms.
  • Freight damage, which is handled as a shipment claim rather than a warranty claim.

How to make a claim

  • Email shenyi@btwpcsheet.com with your order reference.
  • Send dated photographs of the affected panel and of the whole dome, plus the part number from the packing list.
  • Tell us the installation date, the site conditions and what changed.
  • We review and confirm the remedy in writing. Where a panel is covered, the remedy is replacement of the affected component; the shell is modular, so a single panel is replaceable without the whole dome.

Keeping the warranty valid

Wash with clean water, mild soap and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads and incompatible solvents. Inspect seals, fasteners, drainage and moving hardware on a schedule appropriate to the climate and to commercial use. Keep your packing list and order records — they identify the exact component.
